Most travel health experts recommend visiting at least 4–6 weeks before departure, though same-week consultations are available for last-minute travel.

No. The Yellow Fever vaccine and the International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis (ICVP) are given only at Government of Canada designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres. Our physician assesses by video whether your itinerary needs the vaccine, advises on the ICVP or a medical exemption, and refers you to a designated centre. The ICVP is required for entry to certain countries in Africa and South America.

Most travel vaccines are not covered by OHIP. Some extended health benefit plans cover vaccines and travel consultations — we recommend checking your policy. We provide official receipts for insurance reimbursement claims.

We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks before your departure date. Some vaccines require multiple doses or take time to become effective. However, even last-minute travelers can benefit from a consultation — we offer same-week appointments.

After booking, you will receive a secure video link. During your appointment, our physician will review your travel plans, medical history, and any medications you take. They will then create a personalized vaccine and medication plan, and send any prescriptions directly to our pharmacy.

The vaccines you need depend on your destination, the type of travel, your health history, and how long you will be away. Common travel vaccines include Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, and Rabies. Our physician will recommend the right ones during your consultation.

Yes! Unlike other virtual clinics that leave you to find your own pharmacy, we give most recommended travel vaccines on-site at our pharmacy, and our licensed pharmacists handle everything from dispensing to injection. Yellow Fever is the exception: only a Government of Canada designated centre can give it, so our physician refers you to one.

The virtual consultation is $110 — one flat fee, with full vaccine prices on our pricing page. Many extended health insurance plans cover travel vaccines and consultations. We recommend checking with your insurance provider. The cost of vaccines is separate from the consultation fee.

Yes. We bill most private health plans directly for eligible vaccines and consultations — so you don’t pay out-of-pocket or chase reimbursements. If your plan doesn’t support direct billing, we provide itemised receipts (with DINs) so you can self-submit easily.

Yes — prescription medications such as antimalarials, altitude-sickness pills, and standby antibiotics are shipped to your door free of charge so you’re prepared before you travel. Travel vaccines themselves are administered in person at our Toronto pharmacy.

Both. Most consultations happen virtually for convenience, but you’re welcome to book an in-person visit at our Toronto pharmacy if you prefer. Remote pharmacist counselling is also available after your appointment for prescription questions.

No referral is needed. You can book a travel health consultation directly through our website. Our physicians are independently licensed to prescribe travel vaccines and medications.
